Service path

Operating Principles

At Amelie Care, we don't select faces—we select based on expertise. Our anonymous recruitment process ensures that you choose a professional for your home based purely on qualifications and attitude. When the process is objective, the result is more sustainable for your family.

We recruit trained professionals living in Finland—such as early childhood educators, practical nurses, housekeepers, personal assistants etc.—for families around the world. Finnish "sisu" (resilience), pedagogical expertise, and reliability are globally renowned, and we connect workers with homes in need, regardless of their country of residence.

All our services are designed for fixed-term employment contracts of at least six (6) months or permanent positions. Our services cover long-term recruitment exclusively; we do not provide short-term temporary assistance or au pair solutions, as we strongly believe that everyday stability and a family's sense of security arise from long-term commitment.

Our service package prices reflect our commitment to ethical recruitment. We act as your partner, ensuring that the search is transparent and backgrounds are thoroughly vetted—our goal is to create a solid foundation for mutual trust and a smooth everyday life for your family.

Service steps

We make finding high-quality, reliable household staff or a nanny for your family as effortless and secure as possible.

1. Contact and Needs Assessment

Please fill out our contact form, where you can initially share your family's needs and desired service level. We will contact you by email to review the individual preferences of your daily life.

The service level selected on the form is initial – it will only be confirmed in the official service agreement, which is signed by both parties using strong electronic authentication.

We recommend reaching out approximately four (4) months before your preferred start date for the employee.

2. Service Agreement and Launching the Search

Based on the assessment, we will send a clear service agreement for electronic signature. The recruitment search begins immediately once the agreement is signed and the initial deposit (25% of the total fee) is paid.

3. Anonymous Recruitment and Pre-Selection

We carry out the search anonymously to ensure candidates are evaluated purely on their skills, experience, and suitability. We screen the applicants and thoroughly interview the most promising candidates in both Finnish and English.

4. Background Checks and Candidate Presentation

We verify the background information of the suitable candidate or candidates (including diplomas, criminal record check, first aid certification, driver's license, and references).

At this stage, once the presentation fee (25% of the total fee) is paid:

You will receive detailed profiles of the presented candidate or candidates.

You will have the opportunity to meet the candidate virtually and make your selection.

As your consultant, I will manage communication with any other suitable applicants if needed.

5. Employment Contract and Smooth Onboarding

The employment relationship is established directly between your family and the employee. We recommend utilizing the legal services of our network partner, Law Clinic Oy, for drafting the employment contract.

The final success fee (50%) is invoiced only after the employment contract has been signed.

The employee starts on the agreed date, and you will receive our complimentary Amelie Families Handbook to support setting ground rules for a smooth daily routine.
