Service process steps
Phase 1: Needs Assessment and Commission
Timing: Please contact us at least four (4) months before the desired start date. We recommend reaching out even earlier to ensure a high-quality recruitment process and thorough background checks.
Preliminary Information Form: Please fill out the form on our "Contact Us" page carefully. We will contact you via email shortly after receiving your information.
Initial Consultation: We will discuss your family's unique needs and the specific job description via email.
Service Package Selection: You choose the level that best suits your needs (Amelie Care BRONZE, SILVER, or GOLD).
Assignment Agreement: We will sign a written agreement defining Amelie Care's role as the recruiter and the family's role as the actual employer.
INSTALLMENT 1 – Advance Payment (25%): Invoiced immediately after the agreement is signed. This payment is binding and covers the immediate startup costs of the recruitment process.
Phase 2: Anonymous Recruitment and Pre-selection
Launch of Anonymous Search: We begin a search where the candidates' personal details remain hidden. Selection is based solely on skills, experience, and suitability.
Screening Based on Expertise: We filter applicants based on education, work experience, and professional attitude to match your family's specific requirements.
In-depth Expert Interview: We interview the most potential candidates in both Finnish and English to verify their professional skills and suitability for the position.
Phase 3: Background Checks and Presentation of Candidates
Background Verification: We verify all documents (diplomas, criminal record extract, first aid certificate, and driver's license) for the top-performing candidates.
INSTALLMENT 2 – Presentation Fee (25%): Invoiced in connection with the presentation of candidates. Detailed candidate information will be confirmed to the family only after the payment has been received.
Family and Candidates: The family meets the candidates (e.g., via video call). The family selects a primary employee from the candidates, as well as one backup candidate. This ensures continuity in case of unexpected situations.
Phase 4: Employment Contract and Commencement of Work
Drafting the Employment Contract: The employment relationship is formed directly between the family (employer) and the employee. We recommend using the legal services of our expert network, Lawclinic Oy, for drafting the contract (billed separately).
INSTALLMENT 3 – Success Fee (50%): Invoiced immediately once the family and the employee have signed the employment contract.
Starting Work: The employee begins work on the agreed date. The family bears full employer responsibility and is responsible for the guidance and supervision of the work in daily life.
Payment Terms: The payment term for all invoices is fourteen (14) days.
Questions & Answers
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
FOR FAMILIES
1. Why does Amelie Care focus only on employment contracts longer than 6 months or permanent positions?
Answer: We prioritize quality and continuity. For a child's development, it is essential to build a stable and secure attachment with their caregiver. A long-term employment relationship is also a more sustainable solution for the family, both financially and in terms of time, compared to frequent short-term recruitments.
2. What does "anonymous recruitment" mean and why do you use it?
Answer: During the anonymous phase, the applicant's name, age, gender, and photo are hidden. This guarantees complete equality: the selection is based purely on the applicant's education, work experience, and pedagogical expertise. It removes unconscious bias and ensures that you receive the best possible professional.
3. How do you ensure the reliability and safety of the candidates?
Answer: Safety is our core value. Every candidate is required to have a professional qualification suited for the role (e.g., Practical Nurse, Bachelor of Social Services, or Bachelor of Education) as well as a clean and up-to-date criminal record extract. We conduct a thorough pre-screening on your behalf.
4. What support is available if challenges arise in the cooperation between the employer and the employee?
Answer: Amelie Care is here to support you in ensuring successful cooperation. If challenges arise in daily life that require external conversational support, we are happy to refer you to an expert within our network. The family can arrange a potential remote consultation (in Finnish or English) directly with the expert at their own expense.
5. Why does Amelie Care handle all communication in writing?
Answer: We primarily use written communication to ensure high service quality and to avoid potential misunderstandings. By documenting all agreements, instructions, and changes via email or contract forms, we can guarantee that every agreed detail is accessible for review by both parties at any time. This practice is chosen specifically for the protection of both the family and the employee, ensuring that the cooperation remains clear, consistent, and reliable from start to finish.
